stages of development your puppy must go through as they mature. For an exsample:

Stage 1 : Transitional stage usually lasts from age 2-3 weeks, during the time your puppy’s
eyes will open, which he will slowly respond to light and movement and sounds around him.
He will learn to be a little more mobile during this time, learning to try to walk with their feet that is underneath them. They start to recognize their mother and their littermates or any other
objects in front of them.

Stage 2: Getting ready to meet the world stage.

This stage will last 3-4weeks, which your puppy will go undergoes rapid sensory development
which is highly important to understand. Fully alert to their environment, they begin to with eyes wide open to recognize you and other familt members. It’s extremely important to avoid loud noises or sudden changes during this period. Negative events would have a serious impact on their personality and their development. Stage 3: ALMOST READY STAGE.

The almost ready stage will last 3-4weeks to about 7weeks.
From 3-4weeks the puppy brgins one of the highly important and most critical social development period of the puppy life. At this time the puppy learns social interaction with
their littermates. The puppy learns discipline at this point, mother begins weaning her puppies around this time. Then the puppies start learning the basic from their mother which includes
them to know she is the leader of the pack. You can start introducing food to puppies around 4weeks, a transition gradually as the mother weans them off her. What is highly important to
understand is you must not handle the puppies no more then 10 minutes per day away from their
mother and littermates. Remove from the nest too early, will make them nervous,they will start barking and biting and will have a difficult time with learning socialization and training.
Puppies need to stay with their mother and littermates until they reach 7-8weeks old, for optimum social development. Why is this so highly important? This is the prime time puppies
learn the basic social skills. The best time a puppy learns social skills is between 3 to 16weeks old. Which opens the door to a opportuntity you have to make sure your puppy grows up to be

littermates during this period. What ever you do, don’t discipline for playing fighting or housebreaking mistakes. This is a normal behavior for a puppy at this stage.

Stage 4: Afraid of Everything stage.

This stage will last 8weeks to 12weeks and Characterized by rapid learning with “fearful period”
which usually pops up around 8 to 10weeks. Not all dogs experience this, this is highly important to lookout for this during the training time, they will appear terrified, when you see this, it is not a good time to engage any form of harsh discipline, soft voice not loud or traumatic events either.
Your puppy’s bladder and bowels are starting to take control and learning better control and will be capable of sleeping through the night. ( when you have a baby, you dont think your baby is going to get up and walk down to the bathroom to go potty,) So realize your puppy needs time too. Once this is controled, you can begin simple teaches of training like : come, sit, stay, lay down, etc. Then once this is doing well, leash training can begin. Now something very important is not to isolate your puppy from human contact at this time, puppy is learning behaviors and manners which will affect them greatly in later years.

Stage 5: Juvenile stage.

This juvenile stage will last around 12weeks to 16weeks of age, during this time the puppy
is a toddler. The puppy learns to be a little more independent, now at this time he may start ignoring the commands recently learned. But just like any child would do as they experience
their new found independents. At this point eye contact is important with a firm but gentle reinforcement voice of command and training is needed here. Now the puppy will challenge your authority by play biting you, this is not acceptable by any means, with a sharp voice NO!
NO! or NO BITE! command, followed by few minutes of ignoring him or she, will take care of the problem. Continue to play each day, holding puppy on a daily basis, one thing highly important, do not play games like tug of war or wrestling with a puppy. The puppy will think these type of games means tearing up objects is what you want. And if the puppy wins tug of war or wrestling, he will more in the future be more and more tearing objects apart, because the

Stage 6: BRAT STAGE

The brat stage will begin at 16weeks and runs until the puppy is 24weeks, during this time puppy
will demonstrate even more strong independence and willfulness. Now the puppy may try your willings and you may see a decline in obeying you, this will be signs of testing the limits, a behavior most puppies go through. Another thing the puppy will soon be going through is teething cycle, puppy will find objects to chew on to relieve the pain and pressure of incoming teeth, his growing up teeth. STAGE 7 : YOUNG ADULT STAGE

The wild stage lasts about 24weeks to 72weeks and its a great time in your dog’s life.
The puppy is growing from puppy life to teenager to full fledged adult dog, around this time.
Being realistic in your expectations of your puppy as they grow, just because puppy is growing up, puppy isn’t seasoned or experience enough as you might think the puppy is. Gradually
